Viognier & Syrah House
Renovation · Bespoke interior
This former terraced house in the village of Condrieu, at the foot of the Rhône Valley slopes, was converted into two independent apartments.
The house retained the generous ceiling heights of its original agricultural use. In the upper apartment, these volumes were put to work: a mezzanine was built above the bathroom block, accessed by a Japanese staircase whose treads double as storage. The furniture wall below accommodates decorative shelving. On the ground floor, the former storage space — later converted to a garage — was reimagined as a light-filled apartment with an open-plan kitchen and living area.
Throughout, raw materials — timber, polished concrete — are paired with considered details for a warm, functional interior.
