Daniel & Denise Grocery Stores

These two grocery store projects are rooted in the world of Daniel & Denise, a Lyon institution of traditional bouchon cuisine. Drawing on their culinary identity, the stores retain a modernised retro atmosphere: bespoke timber-framed cabinetry, small white subway tiles recalling old-fashioned charcuteries, and hanging product displays evoking an open market hall.
The result is elegant rather than nostalgic: carefully considered lighting to showcase exceptional produce, a refined material palette — anthracite, brilliant white, sage green — and a warm, contemporary interior. The design process included detailed interior elevation studies, signage design, and product staging.
